We believe that children learn best through hands-on experiences. At BIG LEAPS the day is filled with activities that promote exploration, discovery, and problem-solving. Our curriculum is designed to create a safe and stimulating environment that encourages children to engage in social, physical, and cognitive activities. From gross motor activities to listening skills, children are provided with the opportunity to practice and develop skills in a variety of different ways. We also offer a range of activities that promote self-esteem, self-regulation, and self-expression. These activities are designed to help foster a sense of responsibility and independence in each child. At BIG LEAPS, we strive to create a positive learning environment where each and every day is filled with fun, exploration, and discovery. With our experienced teachers and tailored curriculum, your child will develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed. Our goal is to help each child reach their full potential as they grow and learn in a nurturing and supportive atmosphere.

Infant Program

Our infant schedule allows flexibility to meet each baby’s needs as well as leaving room for some planned teacher activities. ‍ Teachers will strive to help the babies reach their milestones, including rolling, sitting, crawling, standing, and eventually walking. We will encourage lots of hands-on learning through a variety of sensory activities and art projects. By 15 months they will move up to the Toddler program.

Toddler Program

Our toddler programs - Toddler One and Toddler Two - are designed to encourage children ages 15 months to 2.8 years old to play, discover, and explore. ‍ We have two different toddler classrooms that are designed specifically based on age and development with activities to foster each toddler to grow socially, cognitively, and physically. ‍ Your child’s independence is encouraged and self-help skills are practiced throughout the day. Teacher-directed learning centers will introduce basic shapes, colors, letters, and counting. We will encourage lots of social play and learn how to share with friends.

Preschool Program

Our three separate preschool classrooms are strictly based on your child’s age at the start of the school year: Preschool 3, Preschool 4, and Pre-Kindergarten. ‍ Preschool classrooms are filled with hands-on learning, discovery skills, routines, gross motor, social play, and listening skills. Teachers will strive to foster independence and self-help skills amongst students. These skills will ensure that your child gains confidence and social emotional abilities that are appropriate for their development. ‍ Teachers will encourage language development and individual expression through creative art, academic based learning centers and exploration of the classroom materials. We are confident your child will be ready for Kindergarten when they graduate! Preschool 3 program: 2.9-3 years old when they start school ‍Preschool 4 program: 3.5-3.11 years old when they start school ‍Prekindergarten program: 4 years old by August 31st.
