About Sullivan-Stewart School of Irish Dance in Newton, MA
As the head of the Sullivan Stewart School of Irish Dance, Deirdre Stewart has been a certified TCRG for over 25 years and holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry. Deirdre is passionate about teaching her students the art of Irish dancing and creating a warm and supportive environment where students can learn and grow. She emphasizes kindness and respect between students and the importance of maintaining the tradition and history of Irish dance.
Deirdre Stewart not only teaches Irish dance, but she also lives it. Having grown up with it in her family, it has become a way of life for her and her two daughters, who often assist her during classes. Deirdre strives to share the same passion and love for Irish dance with her students that she was inspired by in her own family.

Tiny Tots!
The class meets every Saturday and is appropriate for children ages 3-6. A great introduction to Irish Dance for young children, where they will learn about music, rhythm, dance, and Irish culture!

New Beginners
We accept ages 5 and up for our beginner class. No previous training is needed. Learning basic steps and skills. Great way to step into Irish step dancing! Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays.
