At Stepping Stones Learning Center in Paxton, MA, children of all ages can find a safe and nurturing environment in which to learn and grow. Our facility is fully licensed by the Massachusetts EEC and staffed with experienced teachers who have all been licensed through the EEC. With a newly renovated facility and a large outdoor space for play, Stepping Stones offers specialized programs tailored to each individual age group. We’re also proud to be able to provide quality care for up to 41 children. At Stepping Stones, we make it our priority to offer a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for your child. Our teachers are experienced and passionate educators who want the best for your child. We know that each child is special and deserves the individual attention they need to learn and grow. Infant (Birth - 15 Months)

Stepping Stones Learning Center works as a partnership with our parents in taking care of infants. We invite you to call and check in at anytime to inquire how your child is doing. We have a Daily Infant Information sheet which will tell you about your baby's stimulating day with us in addition to a feeding and diapering chart. We offer babies comfort, hugs, positive interaction, play time and a responsible team of teachers. We sing and listen; we play on the floor; we cuddle; we feed each child on their own individual schedule; and we enjoy the time we spend with your baby each and everyday.

Toddlers (15 Months - 2.9 Years)

We encourage and provide opportunities to learn while practicing language, movement, problem solving, and socialization within safe, consistent routines and relationships. Our toddlers are in constant motion! We move them through many play areas, changing toys and materials often to keep things interesting and fun. You will see toddlers move quickly from one activity to another. They sit only for short periods of time. Toddlers are discovering how much they can do when they have a safe place to work on newly acquired skills. They begin to trust themselves as learners when adults honor and support these accomplishments.

Preschool (2.9 Years - Kindergarden)

Stepping Stones creates a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. Our carefully designed program enhances physical, social, emotional and cognitive development for your child. Our goals are to help facilitate the development of creative thinkers, problem solvers, self-confident and independent beings who will be more than ready for their next step transition into Kindergarten.

After School Program (Kindergarden - 6th Grade)

We meet the kids as they get off the bus in front of the center and are escorted into the Center. The kids have a quick snack (provided by Stepping Stones). After snack, we allow about 30 minutes of activity. Activity will depend on weather but would consist of outside play, organized games, Wii Fit, etc. After activity, each child is provided with their own table and chair so they can work on their homework. We help the kids whether it be study for spelling test or working on projects. Should a child not have homework, we do ask them to read quietly during homework time.
