Seahawk Summer Camp at Cape Cod Academy

All grades in the Lower School - Kindergarten through 5th grade - have a consistent emphasis on the development of certain literacies, core knowledge, and skills. Core classroom faculty teach math, reading and writing, and social studies in the homeroom. All teachers are trained or in the process of being trained in two specific curricula and methods that are used throughout K-5: Reading & Writing Workshop Singapore Math

Students across grade levels have the opportunity inside and outside the classroom to participation in our robust performing and visual arts programs. PERFORMING ARTS Performing Arts at Cape Cod Academy emphasizes the development of performance skills, confidence and self-awareness in a safe, encouraging and positive learning environment.

Our Upper School curriculum has an intentional focus to integrate content and character with a challenging academic program. Our courses put an emphasis on the application of knowledge. It is not enough to memorize a formula in a science text. One must understand how to use it to solve real problems. The study of historical events is only useful if serves as a wellspring of knowledge that leads to a broad, deep perspective with which to evaluate events in the world. Literature speaks to the perennial questions of what it is to be human. Please explore our Upper School course of study. You will see that it represents a breadth and depth of learning opportunities that one would usually associate with a much larger school. We offer all this, along with the personal attention that only a smaller school can provide.
