About Norwood Dance Academy

At NDA, we believe that small classes provide individualized instruction for our students. We offer four levels of classes, each with a maximum of six students. Exceptions may be made on an individualized need basis. Students are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Our curriculum is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of ballet and give them the opportunity to explore other styles such as jazz, lyrical, and tap. We also invite guest teachers to teach modern, contemporary, hip hop, musical theatre, folk dancing and drama. With small classes and a variety of dance styles, our students have the opportunity to explore the art of dance to the fullest.

The Young Dancers Division
All Young Dancers classes are combination classes. Ballet is included in all classes. Grades 1 & 2 classes include tap. Grades 3 through 8 classes are combinations of ballet, tap, and jazz. High school classes also offer lyrical and musical theatre.

The Adult Division
Classes are offered for adults who have past experience in ballet on an "open class" basis. The Tuesday class offers almost entirely barre exercises while the Saturday class offers both barre and center work for the adults who want to experience the joy of dancing.
