Welcome to Northampton Martial Arts! We offer Taekwondo classes for children, teens, and adults. Our programs are designed to help individuals of all ages learn self-defense techniques, such as kicking, punching, blocking, joint locks, takedowns, weapons and situational awareness. We also focus on teaching moral and social responsibility. Whether you’re looking to get in shape, learn to defend yourself, or simply have some fun, Northampton Martial Arts has something for you. At Northampton Martial Arts, we strive to provide an environment where everyone, regardless of age, can learn self-defense, improve their strength and flexibility, and have a great time. We use a combination of techniques including kicking, punching, blocking, joint locks, takedowns, weapons, and situational awareness to help our students develop a sense of self-confidence and empowerment. Moreover, we emphasize the importance of moral and social responsibility to ensure our students are well-rounded and prepared for any situation. BEGINNER CLASS

will introduce new students to Taekwondo, and familiarize students with basic stances, kicks, and ceremonies. This class is for white, yellow, and orange belts as well as more advanced students who want to review basic techniques.

ADVANCED CLASS

will focus on refining basic techniques, and applying them in more combinations and methods. students in this class will often practice contact sparring (fully padded). This class is geared to students ranked Green Belt and above

ADULT CLASS

is designed for students ages 13 and over. the adult class is approachable for all ranks and skill levels. beginner students will be given basic techniques and combinations while advanced students will be given more complicated and difficult incarnations of the same drills and techniques. everybody can work at his or her own comfort level. This class moves a bit more quickly than the kid's class and focuses a bit more on detail and technique as well as strength, cardio, flexibility, and sparring skills.

FAMILY CLASS

is an opportunity for students ages 6 and over to all train together? parents, grandparents, siblings, unrelated students, and friends to come together to train in the same class. Don’t let the composition fool you though, this class is still as difficult and educational as any of the others.

WEAPONS CLASS

introduces students ages 6 and above to a range of weapons including nunchaku, kali/escrima sticks, knives, and bo staff. We cover weapon technique, proper handling, application, and most importantly safety.
