Services Offered Kathleen Florance, CCC/SLP-L has touched the lives of many individuals through her unwavering commitment to the well-being of the “whole person”. Particularly when working with children, hers is a distinct holistic and integrative learning approach, which enlists parents as active and essential members of the therapeutic process. This model draws upon neuro-scientific research and her extensive clinical experiences. 1:1 Therapy Sessions are conducted in a variety of time blocks, depending on the needs of the individual. Focuses include interventions for: Executive Functioning Skills, including: meta-cognition, critical thinking, self-regulation; intrinsic motivation, perspective-taking, problem-solving, inferencing, predicting, reasoning, organization... Literacy, including: o language skills fundamental to reading and writing skills; o digital literacy skills as tools for language and learning; o disciplinary literacy skills (literacy across a variety of content areas); o and strategic writing interventions Child to adolescent developmental speech-language delays and disorders, both receptive and expressive, including those involving: o Phonology o Morphology o Syntax o Semantics o Aphasia o Apraxia o Stuttering/Dysfluency o Neuro-diversity, including Autism Spectrum Disorders o Dyslexia o Vocabulary Development o Pragmatics of Language
