About Russian School of Mathematics - Newton

RSM is the only after-school math program of its kind in the U.S. Developed by a group of dedicated parents and educators, RSM is based on the best practices of renowned math schools in Russia and Europe. We’ve adapted these methods to the U.S. educational environment, creating an unparalleled opportunity for students to develop their math skills. At RSM, we believe in providing the best for our children. That’s why our program is run by experienced teachers and educators who are also parents themselves. Elementary K- 2
Young children are naturally curious, uninhibited, and can easily grasp very complex ideas. Our curriculum and methodology are built with this in mind. Our students learn to work with, and develop an appetite for, challenging mathematical concepts.

We regularly challenge our students to use their minds. Rather than memorize new information, they are guided to derive new knowledge by calling on what they know, thereby continually reinforcing what they’ve learned.

Competition Programs
In addition to our core program, the competition track is designed for students interested in advanced mathematical topics as well as participating in elite math competitions.

Our middle school students develop a fluency in Algebra and Geometry, confident and prepared to excel.
