About Preschool Experience

The Preschool Experience is a well-established independent preschool in operation since 1980. Our program is designed to support children ages 2 to 5 years old with three separate classrooms. The Bunnys, Cubs, and Rainbows classes offer age-appropriate activities, while also providing opportunities for different ages to socialize during our extended day program. The convenient locations of our school are both adjacent to a secure playground. The Upper School features a delightful Victorian house with two classrooms, a kitchen area and block room. The playground is filled with interesting stations, a sandbox, and a gym. The Lower School is housed in Trinity Episcopal Church Annex on Furber Lane. It includes a single classroom and provides easy access to the playground. At The Preschool Experience, our program is designed to inspire an early learning environment that is both safe and stimulating. Our teachers are committed to providing your children with the best possible preschool experience.

TODDLER (2 – 3 YEAR OLD) PROGRAM
The focus of the Bunny Room Curriculum is to create a warm and intimate environment that is a secure transition from home to school. We emphasize activities that help toddlers begin to separate from their parents and gain self-care skills such as feeding themselves, toileting, climbing, dressing, holding paintbrushes, picking things up, carrying things, etc. The classroom teaching team consists of a Lead Teacher and one Assisting Teacher.

PRESCHOOL (3 – 5 YEAR OLD) PROGRAM
Our Preschool Curriculum is centered on providing opportunities for children to explore and learn about the world around them through a wide variety of rich and meaningful experiences. We encourage the development of individual creativity, and follow the philosophy of “process not product.” Our classroom daily schedules include opportunities for Dramatic Play, Art Expression, Cooperative Play, Quiet Time, Block Building, Language Development, Tactile Play, and both Large and Small Group Experiences.
