About Newton Early Childhood Program

At Newton Public Schools, we strive to create a welcoming environment in which every student feels safe and supported. Newton Early Childhood Program

All applicants for our preschool classrooms must be at least 3 years old by August 31st to begin school in September. If space is available children are invited to apply to the program for a start in the month in which they turn three years of age. Classrooms at NECP are designed to be mixed age groups however, depending on enrollment some classrooms are only Kindergarten bound students and some are for very young three year old students. Students age eligible to attend Kindergarten (five years old on or before August 31st) are not eligible to attend NECP.
