At School of Rock, learning to play music is fun. Our programs, camps, and workshops are designed to make music education accessible and enjoyable to people of all ages. We specialize in helping toddlers, kids, teens, and adults learn how to play music and become great musicians. Our performance-based music education combines one-on-one lessons with group practices to get students playing music from day one. Our experienced instructors are local musicians themselves and use the performance-based School of Rock Method to get results. We create great communities of musicians and offer the opportunity to perform at local venues. We make learning to play music fun and accessible to all ages. ROCK 101 AGES 8-13
Rock 101 is one of School of Rock’s major programs for kids and beginners. The patented School of Rock Method combines our core philosophy of performance-based music education with a unique curriculum designed for kids with no previous musical experience. Students have one weekly group rehearsal where they learn classic rock songs that have been simplified specifically for beginner musicians. These rehearsals get young musicians to learn the fundamentals of their instrument while playing with a band in a positive and fun atmosphere. Students also have a weekly private music lesson with an instructor who will help them rehearse performance songs while teaching them foundational music skills and concepts.

LITTLE WING AGES 3-5
Little Wing is School of Rock's music program designed for our youngest students (mainly 3 to 5-year-olds). This music program for toddlers and preschoolers features a special curriculum where students play games and participate in other interactive activities to help them internalize the foundational skills they will use as their musical abilities grow. Little Wing students have one weekly group lesson in which they use classic rock songs to learn about rhythm, song structure, melody, and dynamics through play.

SONGWRITING AGES 12 AND OVER
Creating original songs can be one of the most enjoyable and rewarding experiences for musicians. School of Rock’s Songwriting Program teaches the fundamentals of songwriting, arrangement and music theory, and helps students compose original works. Students have one weekly private lesson on an instrument of their choice where they learn concepts, technique and theory. These principles are then applied in weekly group lessons where students work together on songwriting exercises and lyrical workshops. Every few months, Songwriting Program students take the stage to perform or band together to record their original songs.
