At Harper Dance Center in Mashpee MA, we are passionate about making dance accessible to everyone. Ballet Pink (Ages 3-4)

This class introduces young children to dance in a gentle and nurturing environment. We use familiar games to develop coordination, rhythmic awareness and imagination. Students will use memory and focus to learn a few classical ballet positions and terms. They will also begin to understand etiquette of the ballet classroom.

Ballet Indigo (Ages 10-12)

Previous ballet training is recommended for this class but not required. Students will learn additional ballet steps and terms in this class. They will also increase their speed and repetition. They will gain strength, focus, and knowledge of ballet in this class. At the end of each semester students will be given a test on Ballet Terminology.

Contemporary/Lyrical Indigo (Ages 10-12)

This class is only for students that are taking Ballet Indigo only. Lyrical dance is a dance style that combines ballet, modern and jazz that is danced to popular music with vocals. The dancer will develop an emotional connection to music and will use fluid movement and expression to tell the story of the music.

Hip Hop Blue Ages 6-7

No previous dance training required. Students will enjoy a very fun and active class while learning coordination, rhythmic awareness and imagination. They will build on what they learned in Hip Hop I and will start learning dance combinations.

Tap Green, Purple, Gray (Ages 13-16)

In Tap students will four on learning the proper rhythms of a tap dancer by incorporating the names of the steps and the various sounds that the tap dancer can make with their tap shoes.
