About Cottage Children's Center

At the Cottage Children's Center, we recognize the importance of early childhood education and care. That's why we provide quality childcare for children ages 2-5. Our center was established in 1981 by a group of Marlborough parents and was incorporated as a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization in 1988. We are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment that will help children develop and learn. The Center is managed by an executive director and an assistant director and is licensed by the Massachusetts Office for Early Education and Care. Additionally, we are overseen by a volunteer board of directors made up of parents, alumni parents, and community leaders. At the Cottage Children's Center, we strive to provide the best early education and care experience for our children and their families.

Infant program
The infant program at the Cottage provides your baby with a safe, caring place to explore and learn about his/her environment. Our program centers around a philosophy of demand based care, meaning we do not require an infant to conform to “our schedule”, we form ours around theirs.

Toddlers
This is an exciting stage in development for toddlers. They will learn to name familiar object and people. They also enjoy animal's sound. Parallel play (side by side) is often seen. Toddlers enjoy running and jumping. They seem to be fascinated with the bug world too.

School Age
The Cottage Children’s Center prides itself in offering a high quality School Age Program. Just because the children are out of school doesn’t mean they aren’t still in a structured, stimulating environment before and after school, as well as on any school holidays.
