At M.V.C.D.S, we are a state-licensed, non-profit childcare center, providing quality care for children aged 15 months to 6 years, in a distinctly Christian environment. We have been a ministry of the Lowell First Church of the Nazarene for over 30 years, and are conveniently located just 1/4 mile past Lowell General Hospital. We believe in providing a comprehensive, well-rounded education, tailored to the individual needs of each child. Our curriculum is based on the Massachusetts DOE Guidelines for Preschool Learning Experiences, and we follow the NAEYC standards for developmentally appropriate practices. Infants (8wks to 15 months)

We love having our littlest ones at MVCDS! Our infant program follows all EEC Safe Sleep practices and our cribs meet the ASTM safety standards. Our infant staff are all trained in SIDS, Safe Sleep, and safe feeding practices, as well as, Infant CPR/First aid. You will also receive daily updates on your child's bottles, diapers, meal times, and developmental milestones and activities.

​Toddlers (15-32 months)

We love our little ones! These toddlers are exploring and learning so much everyday. Our toddler program offers plenty of gross motor time for climbing, running, balancing and more. Our loving teachers help the children learn important social and self-help skills. The teachers model social and emotional skills such as sharing, using kind words, and helping each other. The children are learning to play alongside each other and develop language skills. The teachers use lots of music, dancing, art and sensory projects to keep the children engaged! We have two classes ages 15-24 months and 24-33months. Each class has small ratios with 4 children and one toddler certified teacher.

Preschool (2.9yrs-4yrs)

This Classroom is always busy, busy and lots of fun!!. At this age children are starting to become more independent and curious. They are learning how to play in group settings, and the teachers act as leaders in helping build important social skills like sharing and taking turns, as well as developing friendships. They are offered lots of hands-on and sensory activities to learn and explore the environment around them. From exploring a pumpkin, to finger painting, to parachute play, to pouring and mixing at the rice table, children are given many opportunities to develop their fine motor and gross motor skills.
