About Lexington Recreation Dept

Residents of Lexington can enjoy a variety of recreational activities thanks to the Recreation and Community Programs Department. From sports leagues to arts and crafts classes, this department offers year-round, unique, quality programs for all ages and interests. Therapeutic Recreation
Therapeutic Recreation is a process that utilizes recreation and leisure programming as a means to enhance/maintain physical, cognitive, social, emotional and spiritual domains. Therapeutic Recreation provides specialized and inclusive programs for individuals of all abilities.

SWIM LESSONS
Course will prepare you to help instructors with swimming and lifesaving classes. Learn principles of teaching and progression of skills.

Girls Basketball and Leadership
The program is challenging yet developmentally appropriate for rising 6 th -10 th grade girls to help improve confidence and decision making on the basketball court. This camp features detail-oriented basketball skills and concepts as well as an exciting sports leadership curriculum on a daily basis.
