About Camp Romaca

At Camp Romaca, girls from all over the United States come together to make memories and form lifelong friendships. This all-girls camp provides a safe and supportive environment that encourages independent thinking and self-exploration. With experienced directors and staff, a wide range of activities, three delicious meals a day, and a Wellness Center staffed with doctors and nurses, Camp Romaca is the perfect place for girls to build friendships and make summer memories.

Watersports
You will spend a lot of time on the waterfront — and most likely visit it twice a day: once for Red Cross instruction and then for a free swim, aka ‘rec-swim’. You’ll learn to swim or play in our two shallow water areas - moving on to deep water for more advanced swim instruction. If you are game, our swim team practices regularly in our racing lanes, complete with turn boards. There’s also a good, old-fashioned water slide…and don’t forget about our Wibit!

Sports
At Romaca we pride ourselves on our proven clinic-scrimmage approach to teaching. Our highly skilled and experienced coaches naturally complement our philosophy. We also oppose a “win at any cost” attitude. During in-camp, inter-camp, or tournaments, campers are encouraged to respect their opponents and play hard for the love of the game. Trophies won are equated with accomplishment and fond memories rather than bragging rights.

Gymnastics & Fitness
Romaca offers a fun-filled, but disciplined, gymnastics program. Our professional instructors provide safe hands-on guidance to gymnasts with a wide range of abilities. If competition is your thing, you will have the opportunity to try out for our inter-camp tournament team. For those who want to simply show their stuff, we host a Gymnastics Showcase in front of the whole camp at the end of each season.
