At Making Music Changing Lives, our mission is to bring the joy of music to the South Shore community. We are committed to creating pathways to exceptional arts education and performance opportunities for individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. We strive to foster creativity, artistic growth, and well-being while providing a safe and welcoming space for everyone. Through our programs, we strive to provide our community with a platform to explore their creative potential. We offer music instruction and performance opportunities for all levels, from the beginner to the advanced musician. We also offer a variety of classes in other art forms such as dance, visual art, and theater. Our goal is to provide our students with the tools to discover, express, and enjoy their creative side. At Making Music Changing Lives, we believe in the power of music to bring joy, healing, and connection to our community. Our programs are designed to be inclusive and accessible for everyone, regardless of age, background, or ability. We strive to create a supportive and nurturing environment where everyone can feel free to explore and express themselves through the arts.

Music Together® at SSC

This fall we will sing favorites such as the delightful “There’s a Little Wheel a-Turning,” the imaginative and fun “I Had a Little Frog,” jump and jive with “Shake Those Simmons Down,” and pick lots of apples with “Harvest Dance.” Twenty-four beloved songs in all! Share special moments at home with your child with your new songbook and music you receive on your first day of class.

Dance Programs

South Shore Conservatory Dance Department offers a full range of dance and movement classes for children ages 3 and up. Providing a positive and nurturing atmosphere, our faculty creates an individualized experience for each student. Whether they are exploring dance as recreation or wishing to pursue their training to the pre-professional level, a curriculum is delivered, consisting of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate levels. SSC Preschool, PreK & Kindergarten

Every child is an artist. The need to create and express is inherent in all of us. When this need is nurtured, learning occurs, and wonderful things happen. When young children have positive learning experiences at a young age, they develop a thirst for knowledge and an appreciation of learning. Life-long learners are created, leading to successful futures as adults. Children are exposed to all art forms while enrolled in the SSC Preschool, PreK, and Kindergarten programs, including visual arts, drama, music, movement, yoga, singing, drumming, and storytelling. Children are allowed to choose and follow their own passion after having been exposed to a variety of art forms, experiences, and people. We are doing so much more than educating the child, we are illuminating and awakening their souls.
