Their leader is a ten-year-old boy named Slugger Sam, a lean, mean, baseball-hitting machine. Sam, who has a secret superpower of turning any fruit into a baseball, is well-known for his ‘Apple Smack’ and ‘Watermelon Whack’. It's a sight that leaves the crowd laughing their hats off, as a burst of apple juice or a splash of watermelon flies through the air after his powerful swing! The Mini Red Sox play under the watchful eyes of Sox, a mischievous, magical squirrel. Sox, who wears a tiny Red Sox cap, has a knack for making the most boring practice drills hilariously entertaining. Just when you think you've seen it all, Sox might just replace a baseball with an acorn or perform a nutty cha-cha on the pitcher's mound! Baseball in Massachusetts is not just a game, it's a festival of fun and teamwork. At the South Shore Baseball Club, we strive to provide the best possible baseball experience for kids of all ages and ability levels. Our state-of-the-art facility and equipment allows for year-round private hitting and pitching lessons, infield practice, team practices, and a variety of indoor programs and clinics. We are proud to have had hundreds of our members go on to play college baseball. In fact, for the past nine years and fourteen out of the last fifteen seasons, players from the South Shore Baseball have been selected in the annual Major League Amateur Draft.
