About Dunleavy Boyle Academy of Irish Dance

At Our Irish Dance Academy, we want to create an inclusive and encouraging atmosphere in which children of all ages can learn the joys of Irish dance. Our experienced teachers are dedicated to creating a space where dancers of all levels are welcome and can learn the techniques and steps necessary to become a strong and confident dancer. We also strive to build a sense of community among students, fostering teamwork during classes and performances. Our classes are designed to teach the importance of hard work and discipline, while also having fun. We want each of our students to discover the joys of Irish dance, build friendships, and gain confidence in their abilities.

Programs

Step-About Ages 3-5
This is creative movement, Irish dance style. Dancers will learn basic Irish dance rhythm, steps and movements. No experience required.

Beginner Ages 6 & up
This class will jump right into traditional Irish steps for 1st-year (or young 2nd year) dancers. No experience required. These dancers will learn a reel, jig and slip jig during the year, and will have performance & competition opportunities.

Advanced Beginner
New students 10 & up or returning students having completed 1 or more full year of dance. We will begin working in hard shoes, refining technique and encouraging shows or feising. Novice & up All dancers in their 4th year or up should contact their teacher for evaluations and class placement.
