At Criterion Child Enrichment, we believe that a high-quality early childhood education is essential for children’s success. Established in 1985 by our President, Robert F. Littleton, Jr., we are a private, non-profit agency dedicated to providing these services to families with young children. Our programs are designed with the intention of meeting the unique needs of the communities we serve. We are committed to actively engaging with the local early childhood provider networks to ensure that the highest quality services are available to all families enrolled in our programs. We believe that collaboration is the key to offering comprehensive services that are tailored to the individual needs of our community. Child Care

Criterion's Rise & Shine Academy early education and care program is located in Milford, Massachusetts. Rise & Shine Academy (RSA) programs provide quality child care services to families of children between 1 month and 5 years of age (pre-Kindergarten age). Each RSA classroom offers developmentally appropriate programs designed to promote skill development and social competency in a safe, nurturing environment. Classroom teachers are certified by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care and have experience caring for and educating young children.

Early Intervention Programs

The primary focus of early intervention is family education, training and support. The program is designed to enable parents and other caregivers to assess their child’s developmental needs, incorporate educational and therapeutic strategies into daily routines and utilize available community resources. Children between birth and three years of age who exhibit a developmental delay or are at risk for a developmental delay because of health or environmental conditions are eligible for early intervention. Early intervention specialists including; educators, therapists, social workers, mental health clinicians, and nurses work with families to develop strategies to incorporate intervention objectives into their daily routines. Services are provided in the family’s home, the child’s early education and care program, the early intervention center or other community locations where the child and family spend time.

Healthy Families

Criterion sponsors a Healthy Families newborn home visiting program with locations in Framingham and Milford. Healthy Families is a prevention program for first time parents under the age of 21. Young parents are provided with support, information on child development and assistance accessing community resources, until their child reaches the age of three.
