About Ridge Valley Stables

Welcome to Ridge Valley Stables, a family owned and family oriented stable since 1972. Our experienced staff are passionate about creating the perfect horse boarding and pony party experience for you and your family. With a variety of riders from just a few years old, up to don’t ask, our team will work hard to ensure your expectations are met. At Ridge Valley Stables, we’ve hosted a range of pony parties, from birthdays to the Kentucky Derby. Our caring staff will ensure that everyone has a great time, whatever the occasion. With our experience and expertise, you can be sure that your pony party will be one to remember!

Riding Lessons

At Ridge Valley Stables we utilize a well-rounded approach to our instruction and offer student riders a true hands-on environment where they will be immersed in the full riding experience including handling, grooming and tack. We have two schooling rings. One is 60'x120' with a natural footing and is illuminated for night time use. The second ring is 100'x200' with a natural footing.

Pony Rides

The best way to enjoy pony rides for a group is to have a pony party at your location. If you just want to try out a pony ride to see if you like it, call ahead then come down to the barn. Small children enjoy interacting with and riding on a pony - bring 'em all! They will have a memorable experience learning about horses, starting with a gentle introduction. You can even brush a pony or learn to braid their mane.

Trail Rides

There are dozens of miles of family-friendly riding trails accessible YEAR ROUND from Ridge Valley Riding Stables in Grafton and Upton, MA. Ride in the forest, along the edge of fields, along lakes, or out in open fields under the sky, nature all around, and maybe catch a glimpse of one of the local red-tailed hawks gracefully riding a thermal overhead.
