
The Rebel Shakespeare Company provides young people with an opportunity to be introduced to and explore the magic and power of Shakespeare's language and stories. Since its founding in 1990, the Rebel Shakespeare Company has been providing children and teens with an opportunity to explore the power and magic of Shakespeare’s language and stories. Founded by Artistic Director Keri Cahill, the company has been based in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Fort Sewall in Marblehead, and now calls Winter Island in Salem, MA home. Keri’s passion for young people and theater has spanned nearly 25 years, with experience from the Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London to Massachusetts High School Drama Guild and many places in between. Through her workshops, private classes, school residencies, and drama therapy programs she has worked with over 10,000 children and teens. The Company’s directors are all experienced in various fields such as voice, movement, choreography, stage combat, and improvisation. Most importantly, they share a great love of working with children. With these talented directors, the Rebel Shakespeare Company provides children and teens with a platform to grow and explore the beauty of Shakespeare’s language and stories.
