About Little Music School

At Little Music School, children can start learning to play the piano from as young as 18 months. Under the direction of Kim Rezendes, the Little Music School method has been developed to help children explore the joys of music-making and the arts from a young age. The Franklin School for the Performing Arts is the first school in the United States to offer the program – a great opportunity for young children to get an early start on learning to play the piano. Little Music School is at the forefront of providing innovative music education experiences for children. Under the guidance of Kim Rezendes, the school has developed a unique method of introducing children as young as 18 months to the joys of music-making and exploration of the arts. The Franklin School for the Performing Arts has been chosen as the first school in the United States to bring the Little Music School method to their students, offering them the opportunity to get an early start on learning to play the piano. The Little Music School method, developed by Kim Rezendes, is an exciting way to engage young children in the joys of music-making and exploration of the arts. Summer Dance

Our summer dance classes are offered as an 8-week session of weekly dance classes in Children's Dance, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Dance for Musical Theater, and Modern. FSPA also offers two Ballet Intensives. The Summer Ballet Intensives feature a final performance at THE BLACK BOX, and extracurricular classes in Alexander Technique, make-up, nutrition, and injury prevention. The four-week Intermediate/Advanced Intensive and three-week Young Intensive provide training in classical ballet technique, pre-pointe/pointe, modern, dance history, and character dance.

Summer Music

Designed for young singers looking to gain experience and basic technique, classes focus on fundamentals of breathing, vowel placement, sight-reading, and ear training. A wide range of repertoire will be studied with an emphasis on classical and musical theater genres. This class is ideal for students entering the FSPA voice program in the fall
