Kids Programs

Ilta Dance Studio provides different classes for kids of all ages and levels. There are a lot of benefits of ballroom dancing for children. In a fun and engaging atmosphere in our classes, they will learn crucial aspects of coordination, body awareness, balance, and teamwork. Dance activities help kids to develop a sense of rhythm, musicality, and flexibility of the body. At an early age, they learn how to work in a team, getting a sense of partner leading and following techniques.

Kids Group Classes

Our group classes are designed for kids of all ages and levels. Group classes for our youngest dancers (starting from 3-4 years old) focus on musicality and an easy start on rhythm and posture using simple stretches, fun music, and movement. In group classes for older children and youth, the focus is on developing a solid foundation in the basics. You will learn steps and step patterns, posture, dancing on beat, and more. Dances we teach Ballroom - Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, Quickstep; Latin - Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive, Salsa, Swing, Bachata.

Kids Private Lessons

For children who are interested in competing, a year of group work in preparation is recommended. Private lessons for children and youth can focus on social dance skills or preparation for dance competitions. For children or youth taking private lessons who want to compete, and don’t have a partner, the instructor will be their partner for shows and competitions, as well as in the lessons.

Hip Hop Classes for Kids

This is a very energizing class for children of all ages. We teach coordination required for hip‐hop movements, with the physical development of a child’s age in mind. The beginner program focuses on the fundamentals of hip‐hop. Students learn the necessary elements and moves which require coordination and balance with contemporary music.

Online Classes

Ilta Dance offers an exciting new way of learning the art of dance from the comfort of your home. It's very important to keep practicing and improving your dance routine even if you can't go to the studio. We teach online zoom lessons for any level. Private and group classes are available.
