Our non-profit school is overseen by an experienced Board of Directors, which includes past and present Berrybrook parents and alumni, as well as dedicated community members. Beginners Program

The Beginners Program schedule allows younger children to experience the joy and discovery of Berrybrook in a way that is appropriate to their developmental level and to prepare them for their following two years of school. Our focus is on helping children have success and pride when:

2 & 3 Day Program

For many children, this will be their first school experience. Teachers recognize that each child is unique and they work with each family to accomplish a successful transition to school. To help all children experience positive and enjoyable first days at school, we have a tradition of shortened days at the beginning of the school year. There are lots of new things to experience, including meeting teachers, new friends, and learning classroom routines and our shortened class sessions ease the transition.

4 & 5 Day Program

The 4 & 5 Day Program provides children with the next natural step towards independence and learning. A big step for second year students is saying goodbye at the classroom door and entering the classroom on their own. This increases their confidence in separation and provides a strong sense of belonging to “their class”.

Summer Nature Program

The Summer Nature Program offers a variety of outdoor self-directed and structured activities with an emphasis on nature and art. Through the summer, children work with a wide range of art media and processes, and experiment with water, sand, and bubbles as well. An ideal setting for observing, exploring, and discovering nature, Berrybrook is surrounded by acres of woods, rolling hills, fields, and streams.
