About Guild of Saint Agnes Daycare
At The Guild of St. Agnes, we understand that play is a crucial factor in a child’s development. Our teachers are trained in the theories of Jean Piaget, Howard Gardner, and Lev Vygotsky, and use them to ensure that children are learning in a safe and loving environment.
At The Guild of St. Agnes, we provide a secure and nurturing environment for children aged 4 weeks to 12 years. Our teachers are certified by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care, and understand the importance of play in a child's development. Through the theories of Jean Piaget, Howard Gardner, and Lev Vygotsky, our teachers are able to create an interactive atmosphere where children can learn by exploring their surroundings and interacting with other children and adults.
The Guild of St. Agnes is dedicated to fostering a positive learning environment for children ages 4 weeks to 12 years. Our teachers are certified through the MA Department of Early Education and Care, and use the theories of Jean Piaget, Howard Gardner, and Lev Vygotsky to create an atmosphere that encourages learning through play and exploration. We understand that a child's understanding of the world around them begins with forming an awareness and making inquiries, and believe that this is best achieved through the use of creative activities and meaningful interactions.
Programs
The classes, camps and experiences this business offers.
Infant & Toddler Care
During this time the framework of a child’s brain is formed through the interactions the child makes with the people and things in his or her environments. If the interactions are comparatively limited then this results in the brain formation becoming relatively simple while varied and frequent interactions contribute to creating a more complex brain structure.
Preschool Care
In all of our classrooms we use stimulating and engaging learning materials so that your child explores and has fun learning. Since young children learn best through play and by direct interactions with objects they can see and touch, classrooms are designed as learning centers with hands-on manipulative objects, and a variety of materials that allow children to make decisions on their own, thus learning through playful interactions.
School Age Care
The Guild transports from several schools to the center. Open to children enrolled in kindergarten through grade 6, these programs are designed to meet the full range of each child’s developmental, social and emotional needs. Homework assistance, enrichment and recreational activities along with health and life skills training make up our daily activities.
