About Dedham Community House Preschool

Our goal is to provide a stimulating, nurturing, and play-based learning environment that encourages exploration, discovery, and creativity. Through a combination of hands-on activities, outdoor experiences, and social interaction, our preschoolers are taught the essential skills they'll need to succeed in school and in life. At DCH Preschool, we understand that children learn and develop best when they have the opportunity to explore their world through play. We strive to provide an environment that encourages children to use their imaginations and develop their natural curiosity. Our experienced teachers create a positive atmosphere that fosters a lifelong love of learning and develops the skills children need to become successful in school and in life.

Preschool Summer Program
The DCH Preschool Summer Program is a continuation of our school year program with an emphasis placed on outside play experiences. Water play, gross motor activities, and walks on our beautiful riverside grounds occur daily, and children have the chance to interact with their peers in developmentally appropriate classroom settings.

Our program is designed to provide a stimulating, creative, and supportive environment that is aligned with state standards. Children are encouraged to grow at their own pace while developing feelings of security, success, and self-confidence. The teaching staff uses themes inspired by the children to develop an emergent curriculum that is developmentally appropriate and focuses on the emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development of each child.
