THE PRE-PRIMARY CLASSROOM

In our pre-primary classroom, youngsters are able to develop social connections with both peers and teachers. Our youngest students are nurtured as they gain independence in every area of the classroom. Through encouraging activities and conversation modeling, pre-primary children develop speech and interpersonal bonds. The classroom materials in the pre-primary classroom are designed to meet the needs of children operating at various stages of development in our mixed-age, family like classroom.

THE PRIMARY CLASSROOM

The materials in our Primary classrooms are designed to meet the needs of children operating at various levels of development - between the ages of three and six years. Every child is encouraged to function independently at his or her own developmental rate while they are exposed to areas that enhance independent thought and creativity, at increasing levels of complexity. KINDERGARTEN/K.5

Unlike other kindergarten experiences, it is during this final year in the Primary classroom (the traditional kindergarten year) that everything comes to fruition for your child. Reading, writing and mathematical understanding blossom from the many seeds that were planted in the previous two years. Many of the activities are child-inspired projects that integrate research, reading, writing, the sciences, and math. The child leaves the program with a strong set of academic and social skills; but, far more importantly, with the attitude that learning and working with others is fun, exciting and boundless.
