For young dancers looking to try ballet for the first time, or more experienced dancers looking for a challenge, NVM the Dance Studio is the perfect place to explore the world of dance. Our youth dance program offers something for everyone, with a variety of styles to fit different passions and interests. We also offer Irish step and drama programs through The Irish Rhythm School and Drama Out of the Box! At NVM the Dance Studio, we provide an inviting environment for kids, adults, and families to explore movement, reduce stress, and foster creativity. We also believe that dance is a great way to have fun! Our goal is to help you find the right class to help your child channel their energy, find joy in movement, and make long-lasting friendships.

Mommy & Toddler

A fun-filled mom-and-child dance class that develops listening and learning skills through the use of music, creative play, and props! The target age for this class is 2. (This class does not participate in the recital).

KinderCombo

Ages 3 to 5 Our littlest students explore creative movement through simple ballet and tap moves while nurturing music appreciation, listening skills, and basic motor skills. Classes often incorporate props and themes—like princesses and knights, superheroes, magic wands, and more!

Ballet

Ages 6 to 18 Develop a solid foundation of the fundamental techniques that span across all dance styles. Students practice traditional barre sequences, positions and alignments, and move fluidly across the floor. All NVM students are encouraged to take ballet to learn basic terms, polish skills, and develop the bodily awareness that prevents injury.

Tap

Ages 6 to Adult Explore a fresh side of dance through percussion and rhythm. Students practice precision in footwork, learn the distinctions of sounds and develop a sense of teamwork as the class practices to sound like one. Expect bustling feet, patterned claps, and lots of laughs! Students tap in the center of the room and across the floor to short choreographed patterns; tap shoes are required.

Contemporary

Ages 6 to 18 A compelling class for the inquisitive, this class explores self-discovery and the use of space. Students build techniques, learn expressive dance combinations, and plunge into guided improvisation. The class utilizes slower yet powerful music (artists may include Adele, Ed Sheeran, Mumford and Sons, etc.) ​
