About Nurtury

Parents in the Cambridge and Somerville communities have a unique opportunity with 243 Harvard Street. Established in 1966 as part of the Model Cities program, this center offers state-of-the-art care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. With the new infant/toddler component, the center has met the high demand for childcare in the area. The center is also committed to providing tuition assistance for Area IV residents. This is made possible through an agreement with the City of Cambridge, where rent for the center is reinvested in the community. With 68 children currently enrolled, 243 Harvard Street offers parents an innovative and affordable childcare option.

Nurtury’s pre-school classrooms ensure that all children start school with the tools they need for Kindergarten success. We provide high quality early education to promote school readiness –addressing cognitive social-emotional, physical and nutritional needs, and family support.
