About Child Development and Education, Inc.

At Child Development and Education, Inc., we understand the importance of providing a safe, caring atmosphere where children can explore and learn. Our mission is to support families and their children through utilizing developmentally appropriate practices and a curriculum tailored to each child's individual strengths, interests, and challenges. Our system is made up of independent family child-care educators who are responsible for running their own businesses. We provide guidance and advice to these educators, but never control their decision making. We believe in strengthening our educators through professional development training, encouraging comprehensive services for children, and focusing on family engagement. We are proud to be a vital part of our community and strive to create a positive, inclusive environment for all. We believe in the power of teaching and learning, and are committed to helping children reach their fullest potential.

Family Based Child Care Program
Through intentional planning on the part of our coordinators and educators, based upon observations of each child, knowledge of child development, and collaboration with families, we will support your family child-care educator in having fun learning activities for your children. These activities are linked to the Massachusetts Educational Guidelines and that focus on literacy, math, science, social studies, creative arts and crafts, music and movement, health and safety, multicultural awareness and technology. Based upon theories of play, engagement, and child development, our learning activities promote optimal physical, emotional, cognitive and social-emotional development while teaching respect for oneself and others and building positive self-esteem.
