At USES, we understand that it takes more than just a job to create economic mobility for families. That’s why our programs are designed to support the whole family through a holistic approach. We offer One-on-One Coaching for parents and caregivers to help develop their capacity to reach their goals and increase their income and assets. We also offer Family Mobility programming that provides opportunities for personal development. For children and youth, we provide quality education and enrichment opportunities that foster personal development and social-emotional skills such as perseverance, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. Our Early Childhood Education, club48 out of school time programming, and Camp Hale on Squam Lake in New Hampshire all provide an enriching environment for kids to thrive. We believe that as families increase their income and assets, become more resilient, and connect to a diverse network, they and their children are more likely to develop the necessary skills to disrupt the cycle of poverty.

club48 Afterschool & Out-of-School Time program

Located in Boston’s South End, United South End Settlements’ afterschool and out-of-school time program, club48, provides your children with a high-quality afterschool care experience. We ensure the quality of our services through our state-of-the-art STEAM-driven curriculum. We develop your children into future innovators, collaborators, and leaders by incorporating the principles of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through an arts lens. When your children are taught the STEM concepts in a creative environment, they’re more likely not only to understand – but also apply – STEM topics in their academic careers.

Early Childhood Education

Located in Boston’s historic South End community, United South End Settlements’ Early Childhood Education program is focused on preparing your children to become confident, successful learners. We have 64 slots for children 3 months through 5 years of age across our infant, toddler, and preschool programs, within which USES provides childcare services in an early childhood education learning environment. Our teachers create nurturing and inviting spaces which foster the development of children’s self-esteem while classrooms provide rich learning environments where children feel comfortable taking risks to help them grow socially, physically, emotionally, and intellectually.
