At the Y Day Camp, we know that keeping kids engaged, safe, healthy and learning is of the utmost importance. Our campers receive top-notch instruction in sports and swimming, allowing them to expand their skills and stay active. Additionally, we provide unique opportunities for children to explore their community and develop meaningful connections with other campers. Our focus is on the holistic development of the child, so they can take the skills and memories they make at camp with them for years to come. At the Y, we understand the importance of providing a safe and secure environment for our campers. Our camp is regularly monitored by qualified staff and safety is our first priority. We also strive to provide a healthy atmosphere for our campers, offering nutritious snacks and drinks and encouraging physical activity. At the Y, we prioritize the learning and development of our campers. Through interactive activities and games, we teach children how to form collaborative relationships and become part of a team. We also provide unique opportunities for campers to explore their community and gain valuable life skills. Our campers leave with a sense of accomplishment and great memories of their time at the Y Day Camp.

SWIMMING LESSONS

As “America’s swim instructor,” the YMCA teaches children of all ages from all backgrounds that water should be fun, not feared, if you know how to be safe around water. We provide equal opportunity for all, ensuring everyone has the tools they need to be confident in and around water.

YOUTH SPORTS

Having fun and being active should be accessible to all, especially our children. Our youth sports programs promote healthy active play, hone sports skills, and place a value on participation over competition. We work to remove barriers to participation, so all kids can build a positive self-image, experience a sense of fair play and mutual respect for others while engaging in less screen time.

BEFORE & AFTERSCHOOL

The YMCA of Greater Boston is the largest provider of state licensed childcare in Massachusetts with school age before and afterschool programs in local public schools and at community sites. Programs are held during afterschool hours, school vacations, on certain holidays and teacher professional development days. Many sites also offer before-school programs. Our staff of caring, trained educators are role models who lead activities that promote cooperation and character development. Parents can be productive at work knowing their children are in a safe and stimulating afterschool environment.
