About Abcd East Boston Head Start

At Head Start and Early Head Start, we understand that all families have different needs. We offer a variety of services to help families who meet specific income guidelines, as well as those who receive public assistance or other benefits. Our Early Head Start program is tailored to children from before birth until they turn 3. We offer pregnant women programs, part-day programs, and full-day programs. Head Start programs are also available to preschool-age children from 2.9 to 5 years old. We offer both part-day and full-day programs, so your little one can gain the skills they need to start off their academic career strong.

We offer preschool children a carefully prepared environment, freedom to make choices, stimulating activities and guidance from teachers who understand the impact of early education on children’s development. Our classrooms are divided into learning centers that include: art, building, dramatic play, a reading corner, and science, sensory and math materials. Teachers change the content of the work as the year progresses and as the interests and skills of the children emerge and develop.
