About JP KidsArts

At KidsArts Afterschool we understand the importance of play and creativity. We strive to foster an environment that encourages collaboration, exploration, and creative expression. We have created a unique learning experience that is fun and engaging, while also providing students with the opportunity to practice and hone their artistic skills. Each day at KidsArts Afterschool is a new adventure. Our program is designed to give students the opportunity to explore different methods of creative expression while also having the time to relax and play with friends. Students can choose from a variety of classes that are taught by practicing artists in a range of disciplines, such as music, animation, performance art, and woodworking. We offer three classes each day of the week and students can register for a minimum of one day up to five days per week. Each semester culminates in a showcase week where students get to show off the incredible things they have created. At KidsArts Afterschool, we recognize the value of play and creativity and strive to provide a unique learning experience that is both stimulating and fun.

Fibers
Students will receive an introduction to the world of fibers through knitting, weaving, and dyeing fabrics. This class will also participate in creating accessories/props for the play!

Ukulele Skills
Ever wanted to play a cover of your favorite song? Now you can! Students will start with the basics of ukulele: how to hold and tune the instrument, what pitches the strings are, ad how to strum, and advance to strum patterns 2,3, even 4-chord songs, and playing melodies

Lego Challenge
Kids will compete in various creative-themed lego building contests and take photographs of their work. A great opportunity for kids to practice sportsmanship and effective teamwork! Younger kids are strongly encouraged to join.

Musical Theatre Dance
Combining, singing, dancing, and acting we’ll take a look at some different styles of Musical Theatre Jazz on and off-Broadway.
