About Payson Park Nursery School

At Payson Park Preschool, we believe in the importance of providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. We provide a developmentally appropriate program that encourages children to become confident and curious learners. Our program is designed to foster an enthusiasm for learning, encourage curiosity, and build a positive sense of self. We also provide an environment that helps children develop their social-emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Payson Park Preschool is open to children aged 1 year and 5 months and older. Preschool Program
Our curriculum is including themes or learning units such as families, friends, weather, feelings, animals, seasons, nutrition, and transportation. The children will experience all these areas of the curriculum through art projects, stories, songs, cooking, and group discussions. They will learn concepts and acquire skills through active exploration, experimentation, and exchange of ideas for creativity and self-expression.

Toddler
Children learn in many ways, acquire skills, and develop at their own pace. Our schedule balances active and quiet periods, alongside with structured and unstructured times, fine and gross motor activities, individual and group time, teacher directed and child-initiated activities, indoor and outdoor playtimes.

PreK/School Age
PreK/School Age from 3.10 years old and up (K and First Grade) Each classroom will have clearly labeled containers with toys to encourage individual games and promote social distancing. These items will be disinfected after each use. On the carpet floor, a clear, age appropriate sign with children’s names or a sign to guide the children to their seats to encourage distance when playing.
