About Cambridge Adventure Day Camp

At Cambridge Adventure Day Camp, we strive to provide dynamic, engaging, and educational experiences for campers that will allow them to stretch beyond their current boundaries and develop their leadership potential. The 2021 camp theme will focus on fun, engaging, COVID safe activities, while following public health guidelines. We offer a wide range of activities including studio art, cooking, movement, performance art, dance, and engineering. We also believe that it is essential to provide learning opportunities in the areas of literacy, athletics, nature, and swimming.

Junior Counselor in Training Program (CADC)
Cambridge Camping's Junior Counselor in Training (Jr. CIT) program is a 6-week program. In the mornings, Jr. CITs work on leadership skills and future job readiness, tackle difficult discussions centered on solving community issues and participate in community service activities. In the afternoon, Jr. CITs employ and expand on what they learned at camp by assisting counselors and creating their own activities for the younger campers. Our Jr. CIT program gives this small, diverse group of teens a strong sense of responsibility and the confidence to create lasting, positive change at camp and in their own communities.

Counselor in Training Program
CIT is a paid position with priority given to former CADC campers. This program prepares teens to be conscientious members of the camp's workforce and encourages personal, group and community responsibility. Before camp begins, CITs meet and begin training with the camp director. CITs receive support throughout the summer as they work directly with the campers and staff to help foster a productive, fun, safe, and exciting summer program. Teens should apply early through the Cambridge Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program (MSYEP) and indicate that they would like to work with CADC.
