About Triboro Youth Theatre

Triboro Youth Theatre is a place to develop skills in the performing arts through a safe, fun, and educational environment. Triboro Youth Theatre (TYT) is an amazing program for young people to explore the performing arts. TYT offers a range of activities, such as acting, musical training, speech, creative movement, and dance. There are also opportunities to explore off-stage areas of theatrical production, such as stage crew, set construction, costume design, publicity, and internships. All of these activities are taught by professional staff and artists, utilizing an effective “learn by doing” approach. TYT ensures that students are treated in a professional manner, while having an enjoyable and creative experience. High standards are expected from participants, which encourages artistic excellence and personal growth. TYT provides a safe, fun, and educational environment for young people to discover and develop their skills in the performing arts.

Everyone is accepted into TYT’s productions. Auditions are held to determine the roles they will play. Rehearsals run for 8 – 12 weeks and most students attend once or twice a week allowing for other activities and school work.
