About Noopur Nritya Academy

At NNA, we believe that dance is more than just an art form - it can also be a gateway into life lessons, teamwork, and lasting friendships. Our academy offers a full program for dancers of all ages, introducing them to the beautiful art of Bharatanatyam. With our guidance, students will learn to appreciate dance, rhythm, and the many different things this art form can teach us. At NNA, we strive to create a warm and welcoming environment for our students. We focus on helping our students to develop a deep understanding and appreciation for the art of Bharatanatyam. Through learning and practicing the art form, our students learn how to work together as a team and form friendships that can last a lifetime. At NNA, we are dedicated to providing a complete and enriching program for dancers of all ages. We strive to help our students to not just learn the art of Bharatanatyam, but to love it too. Through our program, our students learn to appreciate dance, rhythm, and all the life lessons this art form has to offer. They develop strong bonds with their peers, and form friendships that will last a lifetime.

Programs

Intermediate - Level 2
Ages - 5 and Up. Knowledge of basic steps (Adavus) and Hand Gestures (Hastas). Start of dances like Alaripu and Kautuvam. ​

Intermediate - Level 3
Ages 10 and Up - Proficiency in steps, hand gestures, while continuing work on other theoretical aspects like eye (Dhristi), eyebrow (Bhru), neck (Ghreeva) and head (Shira) movements. Working on dances like Jathiswaram, Shabdam

​Advanced - Level 4
​Ages 12 and Up - With Proficiency of hand, face, and footwork, this stage the student works on Abhinaya and building of furthering stamina by learning dances like Padam, Javali, and Varnam.
