Small group sizes ensure that our counselors can develop a relationship with each child, creating a caring, supportive environment. At Oak Knoll Summer Camp, we believe it’s important that children learn and grow through their interactions with nature as well as with each other. We provide opportunities for structured free play, during which campers of various ages and developmental stages interact, learn important social skills, and gain appreciation for nature. Situated in southeastern Massachusetts, SMARTS – the Southeastern Massachusetts Arts and Humanities Consortium – has been providing arts and humanities programs to over 7,000 area youth since its inception in 2005. With a mission to promote creative skills in students, SMARTS offers a range of visual and performing arts programs that provide both youth and community members with the opportunity to express their creativity. Not only does SMARTS offer a wide selection of creative writing, dance, drama, film/video, music, and visual arts programs, but the organization also provides professional development for teachers in the two member districts (Attleboro and Mansfield) supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
