At Woodside Children's Center, we are proud to provide a safe and nurturing environment for your little ones. With more than 25 years of experience, we are dedicated to providing superior childcare and early education to infants, toddlers and preschoolers for families in the Amherst College community. Located in a Victorian home near the Amherst College campus, our non-profit center offers admission priority for Amherst College families. We understand the importance of finding quality care for your children and that's why Woodside Children's Center is committed to providing the best in childcare and early education. Our experienced staff help children learn and grow in a safe and nurturing environment. With a commitment to excellence, we offer a stimulating and engaging learning experience for your little ones. Infant Classroom

In the infant room, we believe in a safe, loving environment where your babies are free to explore and learn. Our main focus is working on social, emotional, and motor development. Realizing that this is the first of many years in group settings for children and families, we would like this experience to be happy and safe. The infant room at Woodside Children’s Center opens the doors to learning and developing children’s current and or future motor skills.

Toddler Classroom

The goal of our toddler program is to provide a comfortable and safe environment that promotes your child’s growth and to create and develop each child socially, emotionally, and academically.

Preschool Classroom

Our preschool program is balanced between child-centered and teacher-directed activities. We believe that every aspect of your child’s personality, be it cognitive, social, emotional, or physical, should be touched or challenged during his or her journey with us. Each of these areas is interrelated and, in a relaxed and rich learning environment, these aspects can be naturally integrated to create maximal and effective learning.
