At the Acton Barn Cooperative Preschool, we believe strongly in the power of play. We create a safe environment where children can explore, learn, and grow together. Our experienced and diverse team of teachers provide a nurturing, play-based, and inclusive educational experience for children aged 2.9-6 years old. Explorers Program
The Explorers Program is an innovative, creative STEAM driven enrichment program offered on Thursday Afternoons for 4 and 5 year olds and provides in-depth hands on exploration of monthly topics chosen to address the needs and interests of the children enrolled. The excitement, creativity and discoveries children make as they explore, increase their knowledge, and stretch their minds are contagious. This program remains popular with our children and their families. Many children claim it is the highlight of their week. Examples of topics offered in the past have been ZOOM IN ON PHOTOGRAPHY, ART BEYOND CRAYONS:THE ABCS OF THE MEDIA OF ART, PUSH PULL DROP AND ROLL, AND YOU'VE GOT TO HAVE HEART.

Together Program
The Together! program includes stories, music, and movement, art, small group activities, socialization opportunities, and outside time for play. Together! is similar to a mommy and me program in that children must be accompanied by a caregiver. We welcome moms, dads, grandparents, nannies and other caring adults along with their children to enjoy this special program with us
