About Camp Starfish Stow

At Starfish, we understand that each child is different and has unique needs. That's why we are committed to providing an environment that meets those needs and helps campers to become their best selves. Our experienced and passionate counselors are dedicated to helping children learn how to interact within a social group, play on a team, and resolve conflicts peacefully. Campers also have the opportunity to work on individual goals and explore their talents and interests. We also keep our campers active and having fun with outdoor activities. We are proud to hear that our campers are returning home with newfound skills and friendships. It is our hope that Starfish will be the first place where campers can feel comfortable, cared for, and succeed.

Programs

The classes, camps and experiences this business offers.

a person and a child
Navigators (Ages 6-13+)
Our core overnight camp experience for younger campers (ages 7-13+). As our traditional camp program for younger campers, Navigators is where it all started! Many campers spend the initial years of their Starfish experience as a Navigator.

OCP (ages 14-16+)
The Older Camper Program is an upgraded teen camp experience that keeps building skills (ages 14-16+). OCP is similar to Navigators in many ways, yet provides opportunities for teens to practice safe decision-making skills with the support of staff. It is intentionally designed with a slightly more “relaxed” feel to the structure as appropriate for older campers.

Lite (ages 6-15)
The best elements of overnight camp at Starfish, condensed into a 5-day, 4-night program (ages 6-15), our Lite program introduces campers to the Starfish experience, including the Starfish Tools (coping skills) and Keys (social skills). The emphasis is on trying new things, being part of a group, and having fun.

Fiver (ages 6-9)
A "try-it" experience where boys experience life in Fish Village during a Navigator session (ages 6-9). This program structure mirrors our Lite session but actually takes place during the 2-week Navigators session. 5 boys in Bunk 5 experience a “try-it” week of camp as a unit, while the larger camp happens around them.
