, the North Shore Country Day School Summer Programs offers a unique experience. Mac McCarty, Director of the McKinney Camp and employed by the School, proposed the idea of the School having its own day camp. This enabled the School to provide use of its facilities to neighborhood families and offer children a safe and fun summer experience. The School offers a variety of activities such as boating, swimming lessons, tennis, outdoor activities and gymnastics. Mr. McCarty's idea of a day camp within the School's grounds has been a great success and continues to provide families with a variety of summer adventures.

Day Camp Summer Adventure

Summer adventures begin at an early age at the North Shore Country Day School. For 73 years, the Day Camp has provided enriching experiences. The Day Camp’s diverse programs allow for all campers to try new activities in a setting where individual growth is fostered by a caring staff. The goal is to actively involve all campers while offering encouragement and support as they tackle new endeavors.

Expedition Camps

The North Shore Country Day School offers an exciting way for children ages 10 – 13 to spend their summer. The Expedition Camp programs are North Shore’s answer for people looking for adventure, challenge and freedom to explore and try new things. Whether it be by land or by water, the Expedition Camp offers something for everyone. The ultimate goal of these two-week sessions is not to see how far one travels, but rather to increase the camper’s knowledge and self-esteem, to create memories and to create a desire to seek out nature.

Little Explorers Camp

This camp program is designed to introduce our 3-4-5-year-old campers to day camp in a welcoming, fun way through games, activities, outdoor adventures and much more!
