The history of Bloomingdale Golf Club is rich. It began in 1924 as Glendale Golf Course and was designed by Tom Bendelow, who was also an integral participant in the design of Medinah Country Club. In 1996, the village of Bloomingdale purchased the 72 year old course and made a commitment to create a challenging course with outstanding amenities within a country club setting. To do this, the village brought on the golf course architecture firm, Lohmann Golf Design in the fall of 1998.
Today, Bloomingdale Golf Club is a challenging course that still offers an enjoyable experience for golfers of all levels. With its not too overbearing of a course, it is the perfect place to come for a fun game of golf. In addition, its country club setting makes it an ideal location for special events such as wedding receptions, bridal showers, and business luncheons. Junior Golf Course
As we begin the 2023 golf season, keep in mind there is a junior/beginning golfer course set-up within the regulation 18 hole course layout. This course will be identified by their own tee markers that will be located further down the fairways of each hole. These teeing areas will allow the junior or beginning golfers an opportunity to play the course at a very manageable distance of 2313 yards, par 69.
