Gary Hall, Jr. is a true swimming star! He is a member of the Olympic Hall of Fame and is well-known for his unique and entertaining performances. He has represented the United States in the 1996, 2000 and 2004 Olympics, winning an impressive total of ten medals (five gold, three silver, two bronze). Before his competitions, Gary often struts onto the pool deck in boxing robes and bedazzled capes, shadow boxing and flexing for the audience.
The Hall family's legacy of swimming excellence began with Gary's father, Gary Hall, Sr. He was team captain for the United States in the 1976 Olympics and held 10 world records in his career. His remarkable achievements earned him the title of World Swimmer of the Year twice and three Olympic medals. Gary's grandfather was also a collegiate champion in swimming, with his maternal uncle joining Gary, Sr. on the 1976 Olympic team.
