About Read Afterschool

Our staff is comprised of certified elementary school teachers, former teachers, education professionals, education majors, and people who love kids! Our commitment to helping students succeed is at the core of everything we do. At READ AfterSchool, we strive to provide an environment where your children can learn, grow, and have fun. Our program includes academic support, enrichment activities, free play, and a nutritious snack. We tailor our activities to meet the individual needs of each student, and our staff is passionate about helping all children reach their full potential. With our expertise and dedication, we are helping the next generation of Tampa children reach for their dreams.

Our grounding in physical education makes READ AfterSchool unique. READ AfterSchool was founded by Royce Brown, an elementary school physical education teacher who knows how important physical activity is to a healthy lifestyle and to academic success.

READ AfterSchool activities are managed by staff who are committed to helping students succeed. Among our staff are certified elementary school teachers, former teachers, and education majors at the nearby University of Tampa.

Schedule of Activites
READ AfterSchool provides a balanced mix of recreational and educational activities, including a nutritional snack daily. Students join us after school dismissal at 2:00 pm Tuesday through Friday, and at 1:00 pm on Monday.
