In 1959, Bill and Gloria Boje opened Marlborough Lanes, a bowling sports entertainment center in St. Louis, Missouri. Named after the Duke of Marlborough in England and the little village the center was located in, Marlborough Lanes quickly became a popular destination.
Years later, the name was changed to Sunset Lanes, in honor of the beautiful sunsets that could be seen glowing through the St. Louis Arch. The Boje family owned and operated as many as eight centers over the years, and even more than that. Sadly, Bill Boje passed away in 2020, but the Boje family continues to own and operate the bowling sports entertainment center in his memory.
This program is designed by bowling centers to give back to the community and provide a safe, secure, and fun way for kids to spend time this summer.
Children whose age does not exceed a limit by a participating bowling center are eligible to register for 2 free games each day of the KBF program, all summer long, courtesy of the participating bowling centers along with the schools and organizations.
