About Miracle League of Manasota

It was a momentous occasion for differently-abled children and adults in Sarasota and Manatee counties who have been yearning for the chance to play baseball. The Miracle League of Manasota, a 501(c)(3) organization, is dedicated to providing this opportunity for those in our community. The day was made extra special as our first-class, synthetically-surfaced baseball field was opened at Longwood Park just off University Blvd. Everyone in attendance was filled with excitement and joy at the thought of playing America's favorite pastime. The Miracle League of Manasota provides an inclusive and accessible environment where everyone can have fun playing baseball, regardless of their ability. The league is open to children and adults of all ages and abilities, and everyone is welcome. The field at Longwood Park is custom-built for the league, with a synthetic turf that is safe and comfortable for our athletes. The Miracle League of Manasota is a unique and special place, where the thrill of playing America's favorite pastime is available to all. The Miracle League of Manasota is an incredible organization that is dedicated to giving children and adults of all abilities the chance to experience the joys of baseball. The league has created a field specifically for their athletes that is safe and enjoyable, and the synthetic turf helps to ensure that everyone can play safely and comfortably. On March 17, 2012, the Miracle League of Manasota opened the first game on their field and began a journey that has brought so much joy to the Sarasota and Manatee counties. With the Miracle League of Manasota, everyone has the chance to play America's favorite pastime.

Baseball League
Our Miracle League Manasota Field is specifically designed for individuals with physical and / or cognitive challenges. It is made with a rubberized surface that is wheelchair accessible. Bases and pitching mounds are painted on the surface so that there are no raised obstacles found on a typical baseball field. The “dugout” area is big enough to accommodate wheelchairs, and we have spectator seating areas behind homeplate and adjacent to the player benches. The base paths, pitching, and outfield fence distances are a bit shorter than a typical Little League field.
