    About Aqua Buddies Swim School in Port St Lucie, FL

    Sebastian and I started Aqua Buddies Swim School, LLC in 2015, following the discovery that our area lacked survival swim lessons for our infant daughter. With my background as a Paralegal for almost two decades, I sought out a career with more personal connection. After taking a comprehensive training program, I gained certification in teaching survival swim lessons and haven’t looked back since. I have loved my new career. With experience of working with children of all ages, I’ve taken pride in my ability to build strong relationships with my students. I’m passionate about teaching kids the life-saving skills they need in case of an aquatic emergency. Aqua Buddies Swim School has become a beloved part of my life and I’m proud that Sebastian and I have been able to make a difference in the lives of children in our area.

    Programs at Aqua Buddies Swim School in Port St Lucie, FL

    Roll Over And Float

    This specific technique teaches infants and babies how to roll over onto their backs and rise to the surface of water; this allows them to breath until help arrives. Infants aged 6 months and older have the capabilities to use the Roll-Over Float Method. Here at Aqua Buddies we realize that all babies are unique individuals and cognitively different. We recommend the Roll-Over Float lessons may start between 6-10 months old or once the child is mobile and if they are at higher risk (ex. have a pool). Typically we recommend 10 months and up as a good age to start.

    Swim And Float

    This method focuses on toddlers and children approximately 12-18 months of age and older. The Swim-Float-Swim technique teaches a sequence of rotating between floating and swimming until they can reach a safety point.

    Group Swim Lessons

    Age appropriate group lessons that promote water confidence and develop ahealthy respect for bodies of water. These small group sessions promote social interaction while stillteaching a weekly designated lesson.
